You can overwrite all the Cepter enchantments in play currently, which is fantastic when popular cards like Life Force and Fairy Light are being used by multiple opponents. There are many other fun uses for Chaos Panic, too. If you're in an ideal position when you cast it, you can level one of those two even more and then howl with glee as your foe moonwalks onto the now-even-higher toll. Does it induce panic? You betcha, especially if Kelpie or Old Willow is on the map and leveled. (On the next turn, all Cepters will move backwards.)Ĭuldcept 3DS: G:40 - All Cepters travel in the opposite direction next turn.Ĭuldcept DS: G:40 - Adds Backward to all Cepters.Ĭuldcept DC/PS2: G:90 - All Cepters travel in the opposite direction next turn.Ĭuldcept Saturn/PS1: G:40 - Adds "Backward" to all Cepters.įirst up is perhaps the most appropriately-named card in this guide. So, without further introduction, here's 14 interesting spell cards for your reading pleasure.Ĭuldcept Revolt: G:60 - Adds "Reverse Movement" to all Cepters. I've included each card's rarity, type, G cost, and effect(s) for each game in the series, so you can see how similar (or dramatically different) they are per game. Some of them are just silly, but that's part of what makes Culdcept such an awesome series. Used strategically, each of these cards can be a difference-maker in a match. I thought I'd explore some of the more intriguing spell cards in the series and talk a bit about what makes them fascinating Most of these spells are very underused (in my opinion) and have effects ranging from just you, to everyone in the match, to everything on the map. If this game does have local multiplayer, I still mean everything I said above. When will the next Culdcept arrive? And on what system? Only Culdra knows for sure. I'll send my dog up with beers when you need one." Really? How many people would be totally satisfied always playing CoD4 at a friends house on split screen against online players? They really don't think both people would probably want to own the game, but also enjoy the convenience of being able to both play online when on the same system? What I'm getting at is that true gamers above college age who enjoy company and multiplayer games are being held at a disadvantage in the current game market. You can sit upstairs in the bedroom while I sit downstairs in the living room. ![]() What about the real gamer who also has friends that wants to both see those friends in person, and play games, but is past the part of his life where he can easily have a LAN party on a weeknight? "Hey Scott, let's go play some CoD after work. ![]() Multiplayer games are being sold to largely two groups: 1) Gamers who prefer to sit alone and socially interact with others virtually and 2) Fuckin' yuppies with their goddamn Wiis who haven't played a game since "Mario" and besides Wii Sports, also own one other shitty game already in the bargain bin. Wii? Gameplay sucks, graphics suck, multiplayer game selection sucks. I understand they make more money, but come on! No one is satisfying the niche of people who are both social and gamers. After writing the rant below, I'm glad I decided to stick it in the Culdcept Saga forum, which is obviously hopping with people who are going to read it :) If there is no local multiplayer, why the hell would you make a game, that's largely a board game, only playable with other people remotely. Can you play against other people on the same system? If so, I'm definitely going to buy it.
